2020 Australian Open Men's Singles Final Novak Djokovic beat Dominic Thiem ,claim 8th AO Title Sunday Feb 02,2020

Serbia's Novak Djokovic battled through a five-set thriller to beat the  fifth-seeded Austrian 6-4, 4-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 in a nearly four-hour marathon


Djokovic made it back-to-back titles in Melbourne when he fought back from two sets to one down to beat Dominic Thiem on Sunday Feb 02.2020

It means Djokovic now has 17 Grand Slams, 2 fewer than Rafael Nadal's 19 Titles and 3 behind Roger Federe's 20 Titles

Victory put him alongside his fellow legends as only the third man in history to win eight or more titles at the same Slam after Nadal (12 at the French Open) and Federer (eight at Wimbledon).

It also ensured he will once again be world number one when the new rankings are released on Monday feb 03.2020, usurping Nadal. Federer remains third with Thiem moving up a place to a career-high fourth.
