Defending champions Chennai Super Kings entered their 8th IPL final and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni credited the clinical effort of his bowing unit for setting up the platform for the comfortable win over Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 2

CSK have won the title thrice in 2010;2011 & 2018 & were Runners -Up in 2008;2012;2013 & 2015

Opting to bowl, CSK first restricted DC to 147/9 and then chased down the target with six wickets in hand to set up a clash against Mumbai Indians in the IPL final in Hyderabad on Sunday May 12,2019

The victory marked the 100th IPL win for CSK – only the second side after Mumbai Indians to achieve the feat

Dwayne Bravo (2/19), Ravindra Jadeja (2/23), Deepak Chahar (2/28) and Harbhajan Singh (2/31) shared eight wickets between them to keep DC in check after opting to bowl

Chasing the modest total of 147/9, Faf du Plessis (50 off 39 balls; 7x4s, 1x60 and Shane Watson (50 off 32; 3x4s, 4x6s) got CSK off to a flier, stitching 81 runs in 10.2 overs

The duo started cautiously before opening up to not allow any DC bowler to settle down.

Harbhajan Singg(CSK)becomes the 4th bowler to take 150 wickets in IPL

Harbhajan Singh, only a couple of months away from turning 39, proved age is just number. The veteran off-spinner once again played a crucial role in Chennai Super Kings’ 6-wicket win over Delhi Capitals on Friday at Visakhapatnam that took them to their 8th IPL final.

Harbhajan picked up two crucial wickets and helped CSK restrict DC to a modest total of 147 for 9 on a sluggish track.Harbhajan gave DC a body blow by removing Shikhar Dhawan for 18 in the final over of the Powerplay. Rutherford became Harbhajan’s second victim towards the back-end of the DC innings. Harbhajan finished with figures of 4-0-31-2.

In the process Harbhajan also became only the fourth cricketer in the history of IPL to get to 150 wickets. Harbhajan is only the third Indian to do so and he currently stands at No. 3 in the highest wicket-takers’ list of IPL only behind Lasith Malinga (169) and Amit Mishra (157). Both Harbhajan and Piyush Chawla have 150 wickets but the off-spinner has a better economy(7.05) rate than the latter.

  1. of course like your web-site however you need to check the spelling on quite a few of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to inform the reality however I’ll surely come back again. ipl 2020 official website
