'Drunk' Russian ship captain steers giant cargo vessel straight into busy South Korean bridge Wed Feb 27,2109

The 6,000 ton Seagrand hit the Gwangan Bridge in Busan, South Korea, at 4.20pmWed Feb 27,2109

No injuries were reported but the lower section of the £500 billion bridge -the second longest in the country - was damaged.

The Korea Coast Guard said the captain's blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit and are trying to determine whether he was the one steering at the time of the collision.

In fact, the vessel should not have been in the water near the bridgeat all and had veered off course.
