The Narendra Modi led NDA Govt Cabinet on Wednesday Jan 16,2019 has approved recapitalisation to the tune of Rs 6,000 crore of EXIM
Bank.
It will be done through recap bonds and would be completed in two tranches. The first tranche of Rs 4,500 crore will be completed by March this year, while a second tranche of Rs 1,500 croro would be completed next fiscal. The Cabinet has also decided to increase the authorised capital to Rs 20,000 crore from Rs 10,000 crore
