22 Cyclists, 4500 Kms, World’s Longest Cycle Rally To Spread ‘Swachh India’ Message


For the past month 22 cyclists have been cycling through the length of India with a ‘Swachh India’ message.

 The journey that began in Jammu, and will end in Kanyakumari 33 days later on December 9,2016 will make it to the Guinness World Records as the world’s longest cycle rally.

These cyclists who have been on the road since November 7 are covering different locations and spreading Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ messages. Till now the ‘Swachh Cycle Rally’ has covered Delhi, Jaipur, Gandhi Nagar, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Next on the list are Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram and Kanyakumari.

This cycle rally is being supported by the Government of India – Ministry of Urban Development along with the Rotary Club of Jammu and Kashmir.

The key message of the 22 cyclists who have joined the ‘Swachh India’ mission is to spread awareness about cleanliness and changing the mindset of people by telling them about the importance of ' Swachhta '
