Honda Cars India is all set to launch its premium luxury sedan – the new Accord – on October 25, 2016. The new-generation sedan has now grown in terms of design and performance.
Showcased at this year’s Delhi Auto Expo, the vehicle is likely to be offered with only a hybrid option. The new Accord will be imported as a CBU (completely built unit) in the country.
Powering the sedan will be a 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol motor linked to two electric motors, generating 198PS of max power and 300Nm of peak torque. Moreover, a dedicated 2.4-litre petrol mill, producing 176PS and 225Nm, will be added to the sedan at a later stage. This engine will be mated to a CVT transmission gearbox. Despite being heavier than its predecessor, the premium car will have a better overall performance.
