Supreme Court of India(SCI)directs Subrata Roy be taken into custody, refuses to extend his parole Friday Sep 23,2016

The Supreme Court of India(SCI)on Friday Sep 23,2016 directed that Sahara chief Subrata Roy be taken into custody and refused to further extend his parole.

The SCI had on September 16 extended Roy’s parole till September 23 after Sahara deposited Rs 352 crore with SEBI as per the court’s direction, as promised to the Supreme Court.

Subrata Roy's parole was extended last month till September 16 with a condition that he has to deposit Rs 300 crore with Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
