Reliance Jio will start giving 4G connections to consumers from Monday, September 05,2016

Features

1. All voice calls will be absolutely free for Jio customers
2. In the spirit of One India, roaming charges will also be zero across India
3. There is a free welcome offer for Jio customers from September 5 till December 31
4. Starting from September 5 till December 31, Jio`s bouquet of apps, all services will available for free
5. RJio will offer users data services free for four months
6. After the free-offer expiry RJio customers will get 10 tariff plans starting at Rs 19 a day for occasional users, Rs 149 a month for low data users and Rs 4,999 a month for heavy data users
7. Under, Rjio data plans, the effective rates will be 5 paise per MB or Rs 50 per GB
8. There will be special discount offer for students under which they will get 25 percent more data on Jio's tariffs
9. Rjio at its current tariff offers world's lowest and cheapest data plan
10. New handsets (LYF) will start at Rs 2,999


The company will give all users free access to voice and data as a welcome offer for three months. 

After December, Jio customers will get all domestic voice calls, including roaming for free.

RJio has announced 10 tariff plans starting from ₹19 a day for 100 MB data to ₹4,999 for 75 GB data.

All tariff plans offer free voice calling, including STD and roaming.

Giving bumper offer to Indian telecom users, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani laid out his plans to unveil a 4G mobile network Jio in the country, including making all domestic voice calls and roaming free, while saying data would be priced well below its competitors.

Mukesh Ambani, speaking at the company`s Annual General Meeting in Mumbai, added that Jio will cover 90 % of India`s 1.25 billion population by March 2017 and would eventually cover 18,000 cities and 200,000 villages.

Dedicating Jio to PM Narendra Modi’s vision of digital India, Ambani said, "Reliance Jio will move India from data shortage to data abundance."

Telecom stocks nosedived post the announcement of RJio 4G launch. 

On the NSE, Bharti Airtel plunged 6.23% to Rs. 311, Idea Cellular 8.88% to Rs. 85.15, Bharti Infratel 1.6 per cent to Rs. 345.15, MTNL 2.33% to Rs. 2, Tata Communications 2.17% to Rs. 514.65 and Tata Teleservices 1.57% to Rs. 6.25. 

On the other hand, RIL stock hit an intra-day high of Rs. 1,072.55 and low of Rs. 1,047.55. At 12.45 pm, the stock was trading down by 0.77 per cent at Rs. 1,049.55.
