Pandiarajan, a member representing Avadi near Chennai, has been allocated School Education and Sports and Youth Welfare portfolios, hitherto looked after by P Benjamin.
Benjamin has been moved to the Rural Industries portfolio held by KT Rajenthra Bhalaji. In addition, Benjamin will also look after Cottage Industries and Small Industries.
Rajenthra Bhalaji has been allocated Milk and Dairy Development, the portfolios held so far by Shanmuganathan.
‘Ma Foi’ K. Pandiarajan sworn in as School Education Minister
Avadi AIADMK MLA ‘Ma Foi’ K. Pandiarajan was on Tuesday evening Aug 30,2016 sworn in Minister for School Education and Sports and Youth Welfare by Governor K. Rosaiah at a simple ceremony at the Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa introduced the minister-designate to the Governor after which Mr. Pandiarajan was administered the oath of office and secrecy. On Monday, Ms. Jayalalithaa dropped S.P.Shunmuganathan from the Council of Ministers and decided to induct Mr. Pandiarajan into the Ministry.
