2016 Russian legislative election Sunday Sep 18,2016

The 2016 Russian legislative elections were held on Sunday Sep 18,2016, having been brought forward from 4 December,to elect 450 Members of Duma -Lower House of Parliament

109,820,679 voters were registered in Russian Federation (including Crimea )on January 01,2016
Taking into account people registered outside the Russian Federation and the voters in Baikonur, the total number of eligible voters for 1 January 2016 is 111,724,534

In the 2011 Election, United Russia won the elections with 49.32% of the vote, taking 238 seats or 52.88% of the Duma seats.This result was down from 64.30% of the vote and 70% of the seats in the 2007 elections
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation received 19.19% of the vote and 92 seats, while  A Just Russia received 13.24% and 64 seats, with the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia getting 56 seats with 11.67% of the vote

Results

The vote had a record low turnout of 48%, and less than 35% of Muscovites cast their votes

Unite Russia won the election with 54.18% of the vote taking 343 seats
Communist Party of the Russian Federation received 13.35% of the vote taking  42 seats
Liberal Democratic Party of Russia received 13.16% of the vote taking 39 seats
A Just Russia received6.21% of the vote taking 23 seats
