Urdu translation of Gita released to spread its message among Muslims Thursday Aug 25,2016

In order to familiarise Urdu readers, particularly the Muslim community with moral and spiritual teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, a translation of the Hindu holy text was unveiled on Thursday by the ISKCON.

The translation which has been published by the Bhaktivedanta Trust, was launched on the auspicious day of Janmashtmi which marks the annual celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna

Somdutt Brahmchari of ISKCON said that the Urdu translation will help the readers of the language to understand the universal message of Gita.

Gita originally written in Sanskrit, contains 700 verses.

The translation of all the slokas, along with easy explanation have been provided.


ISKCON has earlier also published Urdu translation of the text, but this is for the first time that interpretation have also been provided.
