While the predecessors lacked any significant design change, other than the inclusion of 3D Touch in the iPhone 6s, the latest model is widely speculated to ditch the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
Instead of the traditional port, the iPhone 7 could come with a Type-C port for both charging and audio.
It could also be slimmer than the iPhone 6s.
The purported device is further expected to feature a quad HD or 4K display and continue with the 3D Touch technology where the home button too with have pressure sensors.
Rumours also hint at the use of a new hexa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and support for wireless charging
The next iPhone is also expected to come with what is called as a Dual Lens camera - a feature similar to the recently launched Huawei P9 that features a 12 megapixel sensor co-engineered by Leica.
The one on the Apple iPhone is also likely to come with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
While there is no official word yet, it is expected that the pre-orders will start from September 09,2016 with first shipping beginning September 16,2016
The Indian debut of the iPhone 7 is likely to take place on October 10,2016
