11 Beijing 2008 Beijing Olympic Games weightlifting medallists fail retests Wednesday Aug 24,2016

Three Olympic champions from China are among 11 weightlifters who face being stripped of their medals after failing retests of their 2008 Beijing Olympic Games doping samples.

The 11 medallists tested positive for a range of banned substances, says the International Weightlifting Federation.

The 3 Chinese Olympic championa are

1. Cao Lei
2. Liu Chunhong and
3. Chen Xiexia. 

The other 8 medallists to test positive are from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

2. Anastasia Novikova of Belarus
3. Kazakhstan's Maria Grabovetskaya
4. Kazakhstan's Irina Nekrasova
5. Russia's Khadzhimurat Akkaev 
6. Russia's  Dmitry Lapikov and 
7. Ukraine's Natalya Davydova and 
8. Ukraine's Olha Korobka
