2016 Women's Tour De France - Australia's Chloe Hosking Wins Women's Tour De France Sunday July 24,2016

 
Australian Chloe Hosking won the women's Tour de France on the Champs Elysees in Paris on Sunday July 24,2016 in a sprint finish.

Australian Chloe Hosking(25) streaked three bike-lengths clear to triumph ahead of Finland's Lotta Lepisto, with Dutch great Marianne Vos storming through late on to take third place.

It was the third running of the race known as La Course by Le Tour de France.

The 89km race ended in a bunch sprint, with Australian Chloe Hosking (Wiggle High5) beating Finland's Lotta Lepisto (Bigla-Cervelo) and reigning Olympic champion Marianne Vos (Rabo-Liv) to the line.

1)Unlike the men's three-week event, this is a one-day, 89km course raced around 13 laps of the Paris circuit that forms the end of the men's race.

2)The inaugural 2014 edition was won by Vos with her compatriot Anna van der Breggen triumphing in 2015
