2013 Women's Cricket World Cup - Jan 31-Feb 17,2013


 

India is hosting the Women's Cricket World Cup for the 3rd time this year,earlier being in 1978 & 1997.Eight teams are participating this year and are groupe in two groups as understated.

Player of the Tournament - Suzie Bates(New Zealand) was declared Player of the Tournament for her 407 runs with three half-centuries and a ton at an average of 67.83. She also took four wickets while captaining her side to a fourth place finish in the tournament.

Australian women's score of  259/7 in 50 overs is the highest score in a 50-over Women's World Cup final



Australia took home a prize money of USD 75,000 along with the distinction of being the top ranked team in the world, while runners up West Indies received USD 30,000
