Croatia - who will play the return match in Serbia in Sep 2013 - now top their qualifying Group A together with Belgium, and are in a strong position to qualify for the World Cup finals in Brazil in 2014.
But Serbia has all but lost any chances to progress from the group.

There was heavy security in Zagreb, despite an earlier agreement between Croatia and Serbia that travelling fans would be banned from attending the match to reduce the possibility of violence.

And despite repeated appeals by the Croatian football authorities to respect the visiting side, the home crowd soon started singing fascist songs from the 1940s - when tens of thousands of Serbs died in Croatia at the hands of the Ustasa militias.
The Serbian national anthem was booed at the start of the game, and the home fans in Zagreb,Croatia continued with abusive chants against their fierce rivals - Serbia

Alcatraz Island Federal Prison(1933-63) in San Francisco

Alcatraz Island is located in the San Francisco Bay, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) offshore from San Francisco,California,USA .

Alcatraz, the island measures 1,675 feet (511 m) by 590 feet (180 m) and is 135 feet (41 m) at highest point during mean tide. However, the total area of the island is reported to be 22 acres (8.9 ha

Often referred to as "The Rock," the small island was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison (1868), and a Federal Prison  from 1933 until 1963.

Attorney General Robert F Kennedy ordered the penitentiery closed on March 21,1963 because the penitentiary cost much more to operate than other prisons(nearly $10 per prisoner per day,as opposed to $3 per prisoner per day at Atlanta)and half a century of salt water saturation eroded the buildings

In 1972 Alcatraz became a national recreation area and received designation as a National Historic Landmark  in 1986.

Nightclub in Kent advertise free entrance for women if they show their cleavage

A nightclub has provoked an angry backlash after offering women free entry if they expose their cleavage.
The Casino Rooms Nightclub in Rochester, Kent, is promoting its "National Cleavage Weekender" next month with pictures of seven women in low-cut tops and the slogan "It's not about the size, it's about the presentation!".
The club's poster also boasts: "Free entry for exposed cleavage b4 11pm on any night! Only at Kent's biggest & breast party venue."
The club's boss Aaron Stone has defended the promotion as lighthearted and fun.
But a steady stream of people have come forward to slate the stunt as sexist.

Tory MP for Chatham and Aylesford Tracey Crouch said: "This is disgusting and degrading to women, particularly at a time when we're trying to do such good work to improve the body image of women of all shapes and sizes.
"This is an incredibly misguided PR stunt."
Labour MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington Diane Abbott tweeted: "Casino Rooms nightclub in Kent promotes 'National Cleavage Weekender' £everydaysexism."

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson was fined €10,000 ($13,000) by UEFA -Friday March 22,2013

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson was fined €10,000 ($13,000) by UEFA on Friday for failing to fulfill his post-match media duties after a Champions League match against Real Madrid on March 5,2013

Champions League regulations compel clubs to "make their manager/head coach available" for a UEFA-run news conference within 20 minutes of the final whistle. United sent assistant manager Mike Phelan to conduct interviews with television and the written press, and he told the media that Ferguson was too "distraught" to speak

Background
Alex Ferguson was incensed at the decision to send off Portugal winger Nani for dangerous play in the second half of the match at Old Trafford on March 5. Manchester United was 1-0 up at the time of the red card and ended up losing 2-1 in the second leg of the last-16 match, eliminating the team from the competition.

Nani was given an automatic one-match ban on Friday for the offense, which came as he tried to control the ball and inadvertently planted his right boot onto the chest of Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa

Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir's decision to show Nani a straight red card infuriated Ferguson, who remonstrated with the fourth official on the touchline after the 56th-minute incident.

Within 15 minutes, Real Madrid scored through Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo to lead for the first time in the two-legged series
