Aiming to revolutionise the concept of travel, the
Tamil Nadu Tourism
Development Corporation (TTDC), has embarked on an ambitious plan to
develop mobile apps for all the exotic spots in TN in 8 languages
including English and French, soon.
This is for the first time, the state owned enterprise is attempting
to foray into a domain hitherto not thought of by many government
tourism boards in India.
The app, it is said will help to attract more
Indian and international visitors to explore the state. Provision for
“Start GPS navigation” will be incorporated in the mobile app to
facilitate transportation icon to appear at the bottom right corner of
the screen.
All one has to do is to activate it by tapping and holding
it to activate the GPS navigation.
