Poachers target zoos for Rhino horn theft

On March 7, 2017 a rhino was killed for its horn at a French zoo, outside Paris. 

This is yet another incident of poachers targeting govt stockpiles, private homes, museums and now zoos in Europe for the rhino horn which reportedly sells for $60,000 per kilo -- more than gold or cocaine -- with demand principally coming from China and Vietnam where it is coveted as a traditional medicine.
